Felicity Jones was a dominant force in movie theaters this weekend, and now she’s topping it off with a Saturday Night Live hosting gig. Jones will host SNL on Jan. 14 with musical guest Sturgill Simpson, who was recently nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys (though he would have preferred Frank Ocean). This will be the first appearance for both on the show.
Jones is currently starring in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and previously earned an Oscar nomination for her role in The Theory of Everything. SNL produced its last episode of the year last Saturday, with host Casey Affleck. That episode saw the return of Alec Baldwin’s Trump, as well as Kate McKinnon’s Hillary Clinton, who delivered a delightful riff on Love Actually.
Jones has a high bar to clear. May the Force be with her.
