You’re probably familiar with Summer Heights High, the HBO show in which Australian comedian Chris Lilley embodied three separate characters from the titular fictional high school. The show played out like a Christopher Guest documentary—and was nearly just as hilarious—and, eventually, gave way to Ja’mie: Private School Girl, a spinoff focusing on Ja’mie, Lilley’s stuck-up school girl.
On August 5, Ja’mie: Private School Girl will be released on DVD. Any show that relies on improvisation as heavily as Summer Heights High or Ja’mie: Private School Girl is going to have a solid gold blooper reel, and an extensive one will be included in the DVD release of Ja’mie.
