Marvel has recently released a video on YouTube revealing the new Marvel hero’s backstory.
Made to look like a newscast taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, an anchor goes over the recent events with the Avengers in Sokovia (Avengers: Age of Ultron) and questions whether there should be more government control concerning superheroes (a hint at the upcoming Captain America: Civil War).
The anchor then changes topics and goes into the story of Scott Lang, who is to be released from prison after serving three years. We get some good details on what led to his imprisonment, which could foreshadow certain topics we can expect to explore more in Ant-Man.
It’s a great marketing tactic for the film. The video reveals information about an upcoming character and gives fans something to watch while waiting for the film’s release. You can even follow this news station on Twitter.
