Fan-Made Death Stranding Trailer Reimagines It as a PS1 Game
Images via Hoolopee/YouTube3D animation artist David Poster, who goes by Hoolopee on YouTube, has posted a one-to-one recreation of the original Death Stranding announcement trailer from back in 2016—except this version, as you probably noticed, looks a bit different. In Poster’s version, Death Stranding is reimagined and envisioned through the lens of PlayStation 1 graphics. So, if you ever wondered what a next-gen game would look like on a retro console, here you go:
Death Stranding is the highly anticipated forthcoming action game from Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear Solid fame. A description for the game via the Death Stranding official website reads, “In the near future, mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam Bridges to journey across the ravaged wasteland and save mankind from impending annihilation.”
Even though Death Stranding is due out this year, nobody is really certain what the game actually is, which for some has added even more to the excitement and intrigue surrounding the newest title from Kojima. We’ll all finally get to find out when Death Stranding is released on Nov. 8.
