Today’s Proceeds From Hellblade Will Go to Charity for Mental Health Day

In observance of World Mental Health Day, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice developer Ninja Theory will donate all proceeds of the game from today to a U.K. mental health charity, Rethink.

This global initiative will apply to the PC and Playstation 4 versions of the game, for both digital and physical copies. The hack-and-slash action game Hellblade puts players in the shoes of a warrior named Senua, who is fighting psychosis after traumatic experiences. Ninja Theory also released a new trailer for the game (embedded below) that takes in-game photographs, and stories of struggling and coping with mental illness from fans.

Rethink provides support and services to people suffering from mental illness all throughout the U.K. You can read more about World Mental Health Day on the World Health Organization website. The focus for this year is spreading awareness for “mental health in the workplace.” You can read our piece on the unhealthy habits of “crunch time” right here.
