Check Out Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Launch Trailer

It might be T-minus 11 days until Mass Effect: Andromeda drops into our orbit, but EA and BioWare decided to release the game’s launch trailer this morning.

Narrative-wise, there’s not much new to see here, though like most launch trailers, it does its job in capturing the game’s general (in this case dramatic) vibe. Set to the thematically on-the-nose “Human” by Rag’n’Bone Man, we get a glimpse at Pathfinder Ryder and his team’s struggle to find a new home for humanity while facing off against the Archon and his Kett brethren.

BioWare recently confirmed that Andromeda won’t get a multiplayer beta as the title’s release is less than two weeks away. The developer also revealed that players who are only interested in the game’s single-player offerings can still cash in on multiplayer rewards by sending their AI squadmates on missions in their stead via “Strike Teams”:

For those who want a taste of the new Mass Effect early, members of EA Access or Origin Access can get their hands on a chunk of the game as early as March 16. Said segment of the game will cap players’ campaign progress relatively early, but will also allow them to play as much multiplayer as they want.

For the rest of us, Mass Effect: Andromeda launches on March 21 in the U.S. and on March 23 everywhere else. Go ahead and check out the new trailer above, or click here to take an in-depth look at the game’s combat.
