Rocket League Is Getting a Jurassic World-Themed Car Pack
Brands, uh ... find a way
Images via Psyonix/UniversalThe Jurassic World brand is making its way to the unlikeliest of places: the car/soccer hybrid videogame Rocket League. On second thought, it actually makes complete sense. Rocket League is one of those quietly huge games, and the Jeeps featured in the Jurassic Park and World movies are iconic vehicles. Yes, they’re no Interceptor from Mad Max or anything of the like, but they are iconic nonetheless. Plus, the Jurassic World name is as big as ever with the June 22 release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom right around the corner.
The Car Pack features two Jurassic World-themed Jeep Wranglers, a Mr. DNA player banner, Jurassic World decals and a T. Rex goal explosion. The T. Rex goal explosion, along with the vehicles, is showcased in the DLC’s trailer, and it is as cool and bombastic as you would expect.
Sadly, there is no sign of a Jeff Goldblum narration pack, nor an audio addition of Dr. Alan Grant explaining to that bratty kid from Jurassic Park’s first act how raptors feed on their prey. The Jurassic World Car Pack will be available on June 18, four days before Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’s release.
