The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY Edition Gets Launch Trailer

For all the poor souls out there who haven’t had a chance to play it since its release last year, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a complete edition, featuring the full base game as well as the expansions Hearts of Iron and Blood and Wine. If you avoided picking up the game originally because you didn’t have time for it, well, now you’ve only made the situation worse for yourself. Together, the expansions add at least 30 hours on top of the already-massive base game.

There will also be a new update released. The changelog lists some minor item fixes as well as quest-breaking bug fixes. Notably, the patch adds “PlayStation controller prompt icons” for those of us who would prefer to use the DualShock 4. The patch also notes that Dwarf banker Vimme Vivaldi is “now sporting a fresh look,” for some reason, and that, on the lowest difficulty, the “Rabid Rock Trolls near the Dun Tynne crossroads are slightly less rabid.”

With Blood and Wine being the final expansion for The Witcher 3, this will probably be the last major piece of work done for The Witcher series for some time. Right now there’s nothing on the horizon for Geralt and co., but we still have future Game of the Year Gwent to hold us over until CD Projekt Red’s next massive RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.
