Square Enix has confirmed that a new Tomb Raider, presumably following the reboot and that game’s sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider, is in development. But the publisher doesn’t have too many details to share just yet, taking a “new approach” to this game and its reveal.

The above tweet promises a shorter amount of time between the game reveal and its release, likely the “new approach” mentioned. The reveal will come with a “major event” in 2018, which could very well mean the forthcoming film adaptation of the first Tomb Raider reboot game, starring Alicia Vikander.
