Lego Has Finally Released A Wheelchair Figure

Geek News

So far, 2016 has been a great year for brand inclusiveness. Lovers of Lego can further unleash their imagination with the company’s newest release, the wheelchair.

The wheelchair logo piece will be a part of the upcoming Lego City’s Fun at the Park set. The inclusion of the wheelchair is a victory for many children as well as the Toy Like Me organization, which pressures companies to include representation of disabilities in their lineup. The Fun at the Park set will be released in the summer of 2016, and will also feature a baby body Lego, another first for the company.

Lego isn’t the only company moving towards inclusiveness. Barbie recently released a collection celebrating diverse body shapes.
