Sandra Bullock Leads the Blind in New Trailer for Netflix Film Bird Box

Sandra Bullock leads the blind in the new trailer for the Netflix film Bird Box, from Susanne Bier, the director of the Academy Award-winning In a Better World and adapted by Oscar-nominated Arrival screenwriter Eric Heisserer from the 2014 debut novel by The High Strung frontman Josh Malerman.

The terrifying new trailer provides a further glimpse into the post-apocalyptic world of Bird Box. The film stars Bullock as Malorie, who must take her two small children on a perilous, blindfolded two-day journey to the only place that offers any hope of sanctuary. The threat? A mysterious force that has decimated the world’s population, one that takes the form of one’s worst fears and drives anyone who lays eyes on it to suicide.

The film also features an all-star cast including Sarah Paulson, Trevante Rhodes, Jacki Weaver, Rosa Salazar, Danielle Macdonald, Lil Rel Howery, Tom Hollander, Colson Baker, BD Wong and John Malkovich.

Bird Box premieres in exclusive limited theatrical engagements on Dec. 13 before landing on Netflix Dec. 21.
