Constance Wu to Star in Goodbye, Vitamin Adaptation

Constance Wu is set to star in and executive produce the Universal feature adaption of Rachel Khong’s award-winning novel Goodbye, Vitamin, Variety reports.

Goodbye, Vitamin follows a young woman returning home after her father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and trying to reconnect with her fragmented family. The novel was named a Best Book of the Year by NPR, Vogue and Entertainment Weekly, and stands as a cult favorite among online book communities.

Universal Pictures’s boy wonder Dylan Clark is set to produce on behalf of Dylan Clark Productions with Jennifer Yee McDevitt adapting the novel for the screen.

Wu recently appeared in 2018’s Crazy Rich Asians and currently stars in ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, which was just renewed for a sixth season (much to Wu’s dismay).

Other details surrounding the film have yet to be revealed.

Stay tuned for further updates on the production and in the meantime, revisit our review of Goodbye, Vitamin here.
