Jennifer Lawrence Stars in Terrifying First mother! Teaser

Darren Aronofsky has built a career out of crafting twisting, surreal films. Whether it’s ballet or biblical stories, Aronofsky knows how to take something fairly straightforward and turn it into a dark masterpiece. While we don’t learn much about the plot behind his new project mother! from its first teaser, it looks like we’ll still get Aronofsky’s usual heavy dose of dark surrealism.

The brief teaser mostly has Jennifer Lawerence wandering around a sparse farm house while we hear increasingly frenetic and terrifying conversations presented in voiceover. If the teaser is any indication, the movie will be a full-on horror film.

Alongside Lawrence, the film’s star-studded cast includes Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Harris, Kristen Wiig and Domhnall Gleeson, because can you really make a movie these days without Domhnall Gleeson? Of course not.
