Guardians of the Galaxy Director James Gunn Promises a Third Film

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 doesn’t even drop until May 5, but director James Gunn is already talking trilogy.

In a chat with Complex, the Belko Experiment director says that: “There will be a Guardians 3, that’s for sure.”

That said, Gunn is a little bit cagey about his possible involvement in a third Guardians flick, telling Complex that he’s trying to figure out his life and what exactly he wants to do. “I got to figure out where I want to be, what I want to spend the next three years of my life doing.”

Though Gunn’s future with Guardians is in question, there’s a chance he could be involved with Avengers: Infinity War because the lovable losers led by Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) will appear in that jam-packed film, serving as what Gunn calls “an integral part” of the flick.
