John Cho Joins Netflix Drama Tigertail from Master Of None’s Alan Yang

John Cho has joined the cast of Tigertail, a multi-generational drama from Master of None co-creator Alan Yang, as THR reports.

Inspired by events from Yang’s own family, the Netflix feature will follow two people whose poor life choices have consequences that span continents and generations, from 1950s Taiwan to modern-day New York City.

Also starring are Christine Ko (Hawaii Five-O) and Tzi Ma (Arrival). Yang wrote and will direct the film, in addition to producing along with Poppy Hanks. Yang won an Emmy with Aziz Ansari for his writing on Master of None.

Cho currently stars in Searching, out Friday in limited release, and later this year will appear in the Ike Barinholtz-directed The Oath alongside Barinholtz and Tiffany Haddish.

Tigertail is set to begin filming next week in New York and Taiwan.
