Little Monsters, the forthcoming new zom-com that pits Lupita Nyong’o and her class of kindergarteners against the walking dead, got its first trailer on Wednesday afternoon. The film is directed by Abe Forsythe, the Australian mind behind Down Under.
Nyong’o and her class are on a field trip to the zoo when the slow-walkers break loose, but the zombies aren’t the only nuisance they have to deal with: Josh Gad co-stars as Teddy McGiggle, an over-the-top and glib kids entertainer who clearly loathes children, while Nyong’o’s co-chaperone boyfriend (Alexander England) just can’t stop cursing around the youngsters.
Little Monsters looks to be a bloody gutbuster, with the kids and their chaperones getting covered in plenty of gore. There’s no official release date for the U.S. just yet, but it’ll be out on Nov. 15 in the U.K..
