Ben Affleck Brings Back His Boston Accent in Final Live By Night Trailer

Ben Affleck’s previous turns behind the camera have both been marked by success. Live By Night, Affleck’s next directorial effort, has just debuted its last trailer. For the film, Affleck has decided to make another period piece, but it isn’t set in the ‘70s like the Best Picture-winning Argo was.

Instead, Live By Night is set in Boston during the roaring ‘20s. Affleck plays Joe Coughlin, a gangster with a conscience who crosses the wrong mob bosses and pays for it. He eventually flees to Tampa and runs rum while plotting his revenge. The film is based on a novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane, and also stars Chris Messina, Sienna Miller, Chris Cooper, Elle Fanning and Zoe Saldana.

In this final trailer, we get a look at some breathtaking visuals, presumably in Florida. The trailer starts very calmly, giving us a detailed look at the film’s many vistas and interior scenes. As things progress, violence erupts. Model T’s flip, guns are fired, and Elle Fanning says, “We’re all going to hell.”

Live By Night hits theaters on Jan. 13, 2017. Check out the film’s first trailer, released in September, right here, and find the final trailer above.
