Watch What It Would Look Like if Michael Bay Directed Girls

When it comes to director parodies, most viral videos either go the way of Wes Andersonizing something or giving it the explosive Michael Bay treatment. In this case, the latter is obviously much more abrasive to the aesthetics of Girls, so voila, viral video gold!

The dialogue in the video will be familiar to Girls fans from the get-go as “Hannah” reminds herself, “You’re from New York, therefore you’re naturally interesting” while leaning over a motorcycle in jean shorts. It is a little disorienting to experience the juxtaposing of quotable quips from the show with allusions to scenes from Transformers and Armageddon, but hey, imagined mashups are meant to mess with your head at least a little bit.
