Waxwork and Paste are teaming up to give away a copy of the new Night of the Living Dead record, which is printed on 180-gram, 2xLP “Ghoul Green” vinyl. The release also comes with all-new artwork by Robert Sammelin, an 11”x11” booklet featuring never-before-seen production photos, and liner notes by The Shape of Water co-author Daniel Kraus and original dialogue recorder and sound engineer Gary Streiner, plus deluxe packaging.

The record is up for purchase via Waxwork here, but you can also enter Paste’s contest to win a free copy.

Enter to win the Night of the Living Dead vinyl here, but make sure to do so before the deadline: Friday, Nov. 23, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Filmed on a shoestring budget as director George A. Romero’s debut film, Night of the Living Dead follows the story of seven people trapped in a rural farmhouse besieged one night by a large and growing group of the living dead. The 1968 film reshaped the zombie genre, topping Paste’s list of the best zombie movies of all time, and has been selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry.

Waxwork Records worked closely with the remaining members of Image Ten, the independent production company behind Night of the Living Dead, in an effort to produce a definitive soundtrack album featuring all the music in the film. Much of the film’s music was thought to be lost or destroyed, but it has been located in its entirety and faithfully restored and re-mastered for vinyl for this release.

Again, you can enter the contest here any time before the Nov. 23 deadline. In the meantime, you can listen to a few tracks from the album here.
