Movies News Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-Man: Homecoming is one step closer to completion. The film began shooting earlier this year, and now, star Tom Holland has announced that shooting on the film has wrapped.

Holland, who plays Peter Parker in the new film, took to Instagram to deliver the news. Holland posted a picture of the crew looking a little bit exhausted with the caption, “Our last day on [Spider-Man: Homecoming] and this is how we are feeling but we got this.”

Production on the film took place in Atlanta, and then moved to New York—it wouldn’t be a Spider-Man movie if New York wasn’t featured. Homecoming stars Holland alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Marisa Tomei, who will both be returning as Iron Man and Aunt May, respectively. In the film, Spider-Man will face off against The Vulture (Michael Keaton). Jon Watts (Cop Car) is directing.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to swing into theaters on July 5, 2017.
