Watch the First Full Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

Six months after the first teaser for Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi debuted, we finally have the film’s full trailer, and if you’re not already watching it, you can and should do so above.

The scintillating new trailer features some voiceover from the nefarious (but still very mysterious) Supreme Leader Snoke, the Palpatine-esque leader of the First Order. We get some more glimpses of Rey’s training with Luke, along with the recuperation of Kylo Ren, and a general sense that some bad stuff is about to go down. And yes, a porg does appear on screen.

Mark Hamill let the porg out of the bag on this one, revealing the trailer’s impending release in a since-deleted tweet to a fan last month. Only yesterday did the film’s social media pages confirm that the trailer would, in fact, debut during tonight’s Monday Night Football broadcast.

Johnson was embroiled in an extremely silly misunderstanding earlier today after he tweeted, “If you want to come in clean, absolutely avoid [the trailer],” leading click-hungry media outlets aplenty to report that the writer-director had flat-out warned fans to steer clear of the clip. Johnson later clarified his remarks, lamenting the “clickbaity jiggery pokery going around” and adding, “I love that there are folks who want to come into a movie clean, I think that’s awesome. Me, I’m a weak man. I watch ALL THE TRAILERS.” We can relate, Rian.

The Last Jedi recently wrapped post-production ahead of a Dec. 15 premiere, while J.J. Abrams’ Episode IX isn’t due out until Dec. 20, 2019. Watch the first The Last Jedi trailer above, revisit the film’s first teaser here and peruse our ranking of every Star Wars film here.
