Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch Acquired by Fox Searchlight

Fox Searchlight Pictures has bought worldwide rights to Wes Anderson’s latest flick The French Dispatch, per the studio and Deadline, continuing their collaborative history with the filmmaker.

The company has released four of Anderson’s films, including his two most recent pictures, Isle of Dogs and The Grand Budapest Hotel.

A cast of Anderson regulars and newcomers are starring in the film, including Benicio del Toro, Frances McDormand, Adrien Brody, Timothée Chalamet, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson and Bill Murray.

Fox Searchlight’s official synopsis for The French Dispatch reads: “The film is a love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city and brings to life a collection of stories published in The French Dispatch magazine.”
