Exclusive: The House of Tomorrow Clip Proves Music Helps Make High School Survivable

High school is one of the necessary tribulations everyone must go through in life. Fortunately, there are things that can make it a little easier to survive, such as great friends, good movies and, of course, music. Premiering last year at the San Francisco Film Festival, The House of Tomorrow tells the story of a sheltered teen raised inside a geodesic dome who befriends a rebellious kid and forms a punk band to escape an oppressive grandmother, an overprotective father and the looming legacy of renowned futurist Buckminster Fuller.

Alex Wolff (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Hereditary) stars as the rebellious kid, Jared, with Asa Butterfield (Hugo, Ender’s Game) as sheltered teen Sebastian, Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) as Jared’s overprotective father Alan and Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn (Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, The Exorcist, Requiem for a Dream) as Sebastian’s oppressive grandmother, Josephine.

Directed by first-time feature director Peter Livolsi, and produced by Tarik Karam (The Reader, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close) and Danielle Renfrew Behrens (Columbus, Lucky), The House of Tomorrow is the highly anticipated movie adaption of Peter Bognanni’s best-selling novel of the same name. The film also stars Maude Apatow, daughter of Judd, best known for her role in her father’s 2012 film This Is 40.
