New Trailer for The Lego Batman Movie is Everything Batman v. Superman Wasn’t

If Batman v. Superman was just a little too dour for you, then The Lego Batman Movie may be just what you need. In the new trailer for the film, we even see that the Lego version of Batman tell the Joker (voiced by Zach Galifianakis) that Superman is his greatest enemy, and that he’s cheating on the Joker by fighting other bad guys. “I’d say I don’t currently have a bad guy,” Will Arnett’s Batman says. “I am fighting a few different people. I like to fight around.”
The trailer also gives us a good look at Barbara Gordon/Batgirl (Rosario Dawson), Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) and Dick Grayson/Robin (Michael Cera). As the trailer suggests, Batman is a total loner, but he may have to form a team to stop the Joker from taking over Gotham.
This film will be produced by Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with Chris McKay taking over as director. Like The Lego Movie before it, The Lego Batman Movie looks to be a wonderfully light and sweet alternative to the grim products that Hollywood is heavy on.
The movie hits theaters on Feb. 10, 2017. For now, check out the trailer above.
