Watch the New Trailer for The LEGO NINJAGO Movie

Warner Bros. Entertainment has released the first trailer for their next foray into the world of LEGO, exploring the far-reaching corners of where the toy building blocks can take them narratively with The LEGO NINJAGO Movie.

An extension of the LEGO universe, this new animated film follows the steps of 2015’s The LEGO Movie and the soon-to-debut The LEGO Batman Movie. They’re not necessarily connected, but it would surprise absolutely no one if eventually this became the next Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film follows Sensei Wu and his secret ninja force as they attempt to stop the dreaded warlord Garmadon from destroying Ninjago City, where they fight him off with giant robots and fast quips. Starring Jackie Chan, Dave Franco, Olivia Munn, Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods and Justin Theroux, this film is directed by Charlie Bean and produced by the original LEGO Movie directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

The LEGO NINJAGO Movie comes out on Sept. 22. Check out the trailer above.
