In what could be a mashup of The Newsroom and Halt and Catch Fire, the new trailer for Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs attempts to unravel the enigma-in-a-black-turtleneck that is Apple’s late co-founder and CEO. Characteristic of Sorkin (and Jobs) the trailer teases a high level of self-importance, as well as many long winded monologues that geT LOUDER AS THEY GO FOR EMPHASIS, GOD DAMNIT. The film, written by Sorkin and directed by Boyle, stars Michael Fassbender as Jobs and Seth Rogen as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The one thing the movie does seem to finally get right is its depiction of Apple as the capitalistic, commercialized cult that it is.
Steve Jobs hits theaters next month.
