Watch Sturgill Simpson Join Chris Stapleton on ‘SNL’

Chris Stapleton popped up as a guest artist last week in Justin Timberlake’s new video for “Say Something,” and last night he took the lead role on Saturday Night Live and brought out his own unexpected guest: fellow country outlaw Sturgill Simpson. Stapleton offered two songs from his most recent album, From a Room: Volume 2, the riff-heavy “Midnight Train To Memphis” and “Hard Livin’.” Watch the performances, which include some fun shredding from Simpson, below
