Watch Courtney Barnett’s Indie Star-Filled “Elevator Operator” Video

Courtney Barnett has had one hell of a year. She released her debut album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit to massive critical acclaim and earned a Grammy nod for Best New Artist, while also embarking on a world tour and playing the majority of the late-night TV circuit.

Despite a deserved break, she’s all work and no play in a new video for Sometimes album opener “Elevator Operator.”

The visual was directed by Australian cartoonist Sam Leunig and shows Barnett as an overworked elevator operator. As she travels throughout her building’s many floors, she meets an increasingly erratic cast of characters with strange demands.

Watch the video above to catch cameos from Sleater-Kinney, Jeff Tweedy, The Drones, Paul Kelly and more. Barnett has also shared new fall tour dates which can be seen below, including her last two U.S. shows of 2016 before heading to Brazil.

Courtney Barnett Fall Tour Dates:

November

4 – McDade, Texas @ Sound On Sound Fest
8 – Denver, Colo. @ Ogden Theater
16 – Sao Paulo, Brazil @ Audio Club
17 – Rio De Janeiro, Brazil @ Circo Voador
