Have you been wishing that trap music was a little more palatable for your dad? Or have you been searching for a way to incorporate your favorite Cardi B song into your Sunday night jam band sessions? Well, don’t fret: Dave Trap-thews is here to grant all of your wishes.
Dave Matthews stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night and took some time to perform some of the “dankest, tastiest trap tunes ever recorded.” Fallon introduced fictional record Dave Matthews Sings Trap Music, from which Matthews performed Migos’ “Stir Fry,” Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” and Lil Pump’s “Gucci Gang.”
The covers are either absolutely horrible or really catchy—they might even be both. One thing’s for certain: Matthews does a really good job of making that little bird sound in “Gucci Gang.”
Dave Matthews Band released their ninth studio album Come Tomorrow on June 8. The LP topped the Billboard 200, making the band the first in history with seven consecutive studio albums debuting at number one.
