Watch Eddie Vedder Pay Homage to Chris Cornell with First-Ever “Seasons” Cover

At his tour stop in Dusseldorf, Germany, on Sunday, Eddie Vedder covered his late friend Chris Cornell’s 1992 track “Seasons,” which was featured on Cameron Crowe’s Singles movie soundtrack.

Currently on a solo tour in Europe, the Pearl Jam frontman played his own original material and beloved Pearl Jam songs before closing his set with “Seasons”—his first time performing the Cornell solo track live—for the German audience at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle.

The acclaimed Soundgarden frontman, Cornell, tragically died of suicide in 2017. Since then, his fellow ‘90s alt-rock icon Vedder has dedicated countless covers, performances and speeches to Cornell and his daughter, Lily.

Vedder will continue to tour until later this week. His last solo show of the month will take place on Saturday, July 6, with The Who in London.

He will then take a break before playing a set at The Ohana Festival in Dana Point, Calif., in September.
