Hoops Release First-Ever Music Video for Their Song “Cool 2”

Hoops’ debut EP opens with the shimmery, restless “Cool 2,” a song about the moment you realize that someone with whom you’ve been flirting reciprocates your interest.

Today the Indiana indie-rock band released a video for the two-minute track. In dim red lighting, Drew Auscherman sings, “You looked at me as if you thought I was cool, too.”

The video takes place in a vintage clothing store—as a place where customers dress their way to social capital, it fits the song topic.

Directed by Anna Powell Teeter and filmed by Hugh Sherman Donkin, “Cool 2” is the band’s first music video ever.

Hoops’ first EP came out in August; look out for their debut LP, expected to arrive sometime next year. Watch “Cool 2” above.
