James Blake Releases “Mile High” Video with Travis Scott

A video for James Blake’s atmospheric single “Mile High” (ft. Travis Scott & Metro Boomin), from his fourth studio album Assume Form, dropped on Monday.

Directed by Nabil, the new, Get Out-inspired video sees a typically cool Blake startled by Scott’s noisy arrival to the Mile High Cafe in Los Angeles. Blake twirls his spoon in his coffee before falling back into a sunken place, while Scott calls out to him from the other end. The ensuing visuals—reminiscent of a modern Bond film intro sequence—show the dislocated duo floating through the void as Metro Boomin’s damp, moody drums decorate Blake’s ambient synths.
