Rejoice: King Crimson’s Entire Catalog Is Now Streaming

Prog-rock cult heroes King Crimson have uploaded their entire studio-album catalog to Spotify’s library, just in time for the band’s 50th anniversary celebration.

The band have hesitated going fully digital as a result of rising physical sales within the last 10 years, but “in the end, our prime function is to serve the music and make the music available and Spotify has now definitely become one of the places that people, particularly younger people, find music,” the band’s manager David Singleton told reporters in April.

The band previously released live recordings onto the platform in 2017, but they hadn’t taken the full leap until now.

The band kicked off a 50-date world tour on Monday night in Europe and will embark on a North American leg in September. They’re now preparing to reissue selections from their back catalog, working on a documentary and piecing together merchandise to further commemorate the anniversary.
