Mitski Says She Is “Deleting Socials,” Adds Second September Show with Lucy Dacus
Photo by Bao NgoMitski surprised her fans last week by announcing that her Sept. 7 Central Park concert would be her “last show indefinitely.”
On Tuesday afternoon, she wrote on several social media accounts that she would be deleting them, and let her followers know that tickets to several of her 2019 shows were still available.
“Now that I don’t have full-on albums/tours to promo I need to get outta here! Thank you love you,” Mitski wrote on both Twitter and Instagram. She also shared the post to Facebook.
Whether the artist is planning to delete social media apps from her phone or full-on erase her accounts, it is clear that Mitski deserves rest and relaxation time after touring non-stop for five years and releasing multiple critically acclaimed albums.
After Mitski’s Sept. 7 concert with Lucy Dacus sold out, the two indie-rock musicians decided to add an additional show the next day.
So many people couldn’t get tickets to our final show of this cycle, so i’ve agreed to add one more show the day after, on 9/8. And Lucy’s agreed too! love you
