Molly Burch Announces New 7″, Releases First Track “Only One”

Austin-based crooner Molly Burch has released the first cut from her forthcoming 7”, a breathy, romantic track titled “Only One.”
Burch sings from behind a smoke screen, her vocals tender and vulnerable. A hot, yawning electric guitar and swelling organ accompany her as she trembles and tumbles over words, muttering romantic nothings: “Why’d you stop loving me?”
The musician’s follow-up to her 2018 sophomore release First Flower, “Only One” serves as the A-side to her new 7” Ballads, out Aug. 2 via Captured Tracks.
“I decided to call the 7” Ballads as an homage to the powerful female vocalists I idolized growing up,” Burch said in a statement. “Seems sort of classic. Both songs really embody what I love to do—sing with emotion, and drama, and romance, taking as much time as I need.”
