French indie-rockers Phoenix have been out of the spotlight for a while now, but it looks like they might have something new in the works. As Stereogum points out, the group has updated their website with a mysterious new image (see above), and their profile pictures on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have been switched to a test screen.
The band’s last album, 2013’s Bankrupt!, was a mixed effort, and they have been rather silent in recent years. Of course, this could mean a number of things, but considering that the band hasn’t posted anything online all year, this qualifies as fairly substantial news.
Until we’ve got something more concrete, feel free to get excited. Just don’t get too excited.
