The Austin Police Department has arrested a man who allegedly called in a bomb threat on Saturday night, forcing the cancelation of the Bud Light x The Roots & Friends Jam showcase at the Fair Market venue, according to the Austin Chronicle.
Trevor Weldon Ingram, 26, was arrested early Sunday morning on third-degree felony charges of making a terroristic threat.
According to a statement released by the city of Austin, the police were contacted at 4:23 p.m. CT on Saturday afternoon by a representative of Live Nation, which was staging the Roots’ showcase, to report a bomb threat received via email. Police officers were dispatched to the Fair Market venue on Fifth Street and “conducted a complete check of the area.” Although “no threat was found,” the event’s sponsor, Bud Light, opted to cancel the show.
