It was just announced that Taylor Swift will be the first woman in history to christen an NFL stadium. The pop star and “Lover” singer will host “Lover Fest West” at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Cali., in July 2020, marking the new arena’s first concert.

However, 27 years ago, a whole other troupe of women were among the first performers at a different, now-non-existent arena. On this day (Sept. 17) in 1992, Whitney Houston, Trisha Yearwood and TLC were among the acts at the 1992 Olympic Flag Jam, aka the first ever concert at Atlanta’s Georgia Dome, where the Falcons played for 24 seasons. The dome was demolished in 2017, at which time the flashy Mercedes-Benz Stadium took its place.

At this near-three-hour-long show, Atlanta welcomed the Olympic Flag to Georgia four years ahead of their 1996 summer Olympics. In addition to Houston, Yearwood and TLC, artists like Gladys Knight, James Brown, Santana and Alabama marked the occasion.

Hear Whitney Houston perform “One Moment in Time,” followed by Trisha Yearwood’s “She’s In Love With The Boy” and TLC’s “Baby Baby Baby,” in 1992 below via the ever-interesting Paste vault. Further down, listen to the whole concert.
