Whitney Extend Their Tour Into Fall

Country-soul darlings Whitney are out on a world tour, and now the outfit is extending that run another couple of months.

Today the band has announced a new round of shows across the Midwest, with dates in Milwaukee, Madison, Minneapolis, Omaha and Denver set for November and December. Artist pre-sale for these shows starts today, and there’s a limited amount of tickets available with reduced fees directly through Whitney’s website.

Whitney, anchored by duo Julian Ehrlich and Max Kakacek, recently released a 12’’ single featuring covers of Lion and Dolly Parton. You can watch the video for their rendition of Lion’s “You’ve Got A Woman” here.

The band’s continued touring is in support of their acclaimed debut Light Upon The Lake, which landed them on both our lists of 2016’s best new artists and the best albums of the year.

Whitney’s tour slate will bring them to a smattering of huge summer music festivals, including Lollapalooza, Newport Folk, Forecastle, FYF and many more. Paste recently caught their set at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival, with our own Jim Vorel praising their “beguiling blend of indie pop and mildly ‘60s psychedelia.”

Find the band’s full tour slate below—new shows are marked as such—and for goodness’ sake, listen to Light Upon The Lake. Your ears will thank you.
