Seattle punkers Wimps are about to unleash a torrent of trash on the world with the release of their third album Garbage People. Out on July 13th via the always-reliable Kill Rock Stars label, this new LP keeps in with the trio’s aesthetic of wicked catchy, minimalist rock but with the addition of some keyboard and saxophone to keep them and their fans guessing. And their chirpy music belies some pretty serious lyrical concerns, like the flood of refuse that is growing at an exponential rate, the decline in the bee population and, well, pizza.
