ALERT: Today Is the Last Day to Register to Vote in 15 States

Because we live in a “democracy” that sets up barriers to vote at every turn for absolutely no logical reason outside of evil ones, today is the last day to register to vote for many of you. If you have not registered to vote ahead of the most important election of millennials’ lifetimes…

You can even download an absentee ballot so you don’t have to go to the polls on election day. Registering to vote and getting an absentee ballot takes less than five minutes. There’s no excuse not to do it. If you don’t register to vote now, you WILL NOT be able to vote in the November 6th elections in these 15 states:

Arizona

Arkansas

Florida

Georgia

Indiana

Kentucky

Louisiana

Michigan

Mississippi

New Mexico

Nevada

Ohio

Pennsylvania

Tennessee

Texas

That’s 30% of the states and 41% of the population. This is absurd. There is simply no good argument against having same-day voter registration. People have lives to live and can’t be like us here at Paste politics and continually melt their brains by plugging them into the Trumpian news cycle while keeping track of arbitrary dates they need to file paperwork for in order to exercise their most fundamental democratic right. November 6th is the day that matters, and the rest is just noise. Well, except for today’s deadline. It sucks, but this is the world we inhabit.

Make sure you’re registered to vote, as it’s not hyperbole to say that the next three elections (2018, 2020, and 2022) will define America for the rest of millennials’ lives—especially in light of the new, utterly devastating report from the UN that climate change will lead to widespread death and destruction in just 22 years if nothing is done in the next ten years. One party has put fighting this generational challenge on their agenda, and the other is the only major political party in the western world who refuses to believe it exists (because the GOP is in the pocket of most of the 100 companies responsible for 71% of all carbon emissions since 1988). It’s not over the top to say that the survival of millions depends on what America does over the coming decade. Make sure your voice is heard.
