North Carolina GOP Leader: Christine Ford Wasn’t Hot Enough to Be Sexually Assaulted

Lanny Lancaster is the Cabarrus County GOP chairman in North Carolina, and according to the Raleigh News & Observer, he recently shared the post below on his Facebook account:

Lancaster added the following test:

“This is the alleged sexual assault victim. Wow.”

This is a disgusting post on its face for the obvious implication that Ford wasn’t attractive enough for someone like Kavanaugh to sexually harass, and that she should be disbelieved because she’s ugly.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, it’s not even a real photo of Ford—it’s a meme that’s been around since 2012.

Lancaster, rather than apologizing for his post, tried out this tactic per the N&O:

“I didn’t say anything. I just said this is her picture. Basically, the media is distorting the facts on this lady. Everything she’s said is made up. She has no evidence whatsoever. I support that theory,” Lancaster said.

Then he immediately undermined his own paper-thin excuse by re-affirming his original point about her looks:

“The media wants you to think she was a beautiful young lady who was on her way home from the tennis courts … ” Lancaster said. “I just wanted you to see the real person. I wanted people to see that this is really her.”

The post was unearthed when a resident sent the post to Frank McNeill, a Democrat running for congress in North Carolina. McNeill sent it out in a newsletter, writing, “It never stops. The Republicans’ assault on the safety and dignity of American women continues to grow more personal and ugly.”

As it turns out, Lancaster wasn’t the only political figure in North Carolina to share the post. A member of the Rutherford County school board and a Burns High School teacher named Brandon Gosey reportedly shared the same post, with the personal caption, “Naw, he didn’t…She be lyin.”
