Fox News Host Says Trump’s Sons Stopped Doing International Deals as Eric Trump Completes One

Fox News has gone to almost admirable lengths to cover up for the Trumps, who seem to be set on proving them wrong publicly. The Five co-host Jesse Watters stated on Wednesday afternoon, “When Donald Trump became president, his sons stopped doing international business deals. When Joe Biden became vice president, his son started doing international business deals,” as Newsweek points out.

To give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he’s talking about Barron Trump, who is 13, but it surely couldn’t be about Eric Trump, who promptly tweeted the following:

Based on the picture above, he doesn’t seem at all shy about it.

As you probably heard from headlines (and not Eric Trump’s vacation-advertising Twitter) his father, Donald Trump, is facing possible impeachment after he discussed Joe Biden, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, in a phone call to Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky that White House officials tried to box away on a separate computer system. Trump has made vague claims that Biden and his son Hunter have been corrupt that are largely unsubstantiated. The unwavering loyalty Fox News has for the Trumps is beginning to crack, however, as a few of their hosts, including Shep Smith, have been criticizing Trump as of late.

It’s clear from Eric Trump’s tweet that the developments in Scotland are set to be expanded upon, which means the international business they supposedly stopped is only growing. Perhaps the best part of this story is that Donald Trump retweeted the Watters clip to add to the assembly line of right-wing press on his feed. There’s really no caption needed when you’ve got these screenshots side by side:

Maybe Trump should supervise his son’s Twitter feed—a birdie, this is not.
