Roma captain Francesco Totti became the oldest goalscorer in Champions League history on Tuesday, equalizing against Manchester City at the age of 38 years, 3 days to knock former record-holder Ryan Giggs (who scored aged 37 years, 290 days) into second place.

And I know it might look like Manchester City keeper Joe Hart was patronizing the older player by slowly falling backwards and letting him score, but a second viewing suggests it was actually Totti timing it perfectly and waiting just long enough for Hart to go to ground before chipping it over England’s #1 and into the far corner.
