Claire Lavogez Scored The Goal of the U-20 World Cup

If you took our advice the other day, you’re watching the U-20 Women’s World Cup.

ESPN decided not to broadcast France’s 5-1 drubbing of Costa Rica, however, so you probably missed the goal of the tournament scored by Claire Lavogez. The French midfielder received a no-look through ball on the edge of the penalty box and sent a perfect volley over the keeper, off the crossbar, and into goal. Just the right amount of curve and dip.

After the match, Lavoguez told FIFA.com that she doesn’t score too often. “It’s just that, when I do, they’re spectacular,” she added.

They sure are, Claire.
