Twitter Introduces Stickers for Photos, Adds Searchable Sticker Function

Tech News Twitter

Snapchat is famous for its geofilters and lenses, including emojis that you can add onto photos and videos. Twitter also wants to make photos great again. Today, the social media giant unveiled in a blog announcement a new feature that allows users to add stickers onto photos.

Twitter is also adding a feature that makes the stickers searchable, like hashtags. Tapping on a sticker used in a photo will take Twitter users to a new page with other instances of when people used that sticker in a photo.

Stickers will be introduced over the next few weeks for people using Twitter for iOS and Android. Other photo-related features on Twitter include filters, tags, cropping and accessibility options.

The company is also launching an update allowing advertisers to target users based on their emoji use, starting on World Emoji Day, July 17.
