Netflix Renews A Series of Unfortunate Events for a Second Season

Netflix’s adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events is officially coming back for another season.

The streaming service’s take on Lemony Snicket’s (aka Daniel Handler) YA novel series was confirmed to be coming back today via a post from the show’s official Twitter account that led to vastlyfrighteningdecision.com, a URL which has since been taken down. The page displayed a letter penned by Snicket himself, lamenting the series’ return. For those who didn’t get a chance to see the page before it went down, the show’s Twitter account tweeted an image of the letter by itself soon after:

No other details were announced about the returning show, though more announcements are sure to follow soon. In the meantime, you can check out our interview with Handler himself here, or read why TV is the perfect medium for the beloved story here. We also just ranked A Series of Unfortunate Events among the 75 best shows you can watch on Netflix in March. Be sure to stay tuned to Paste for any updates on Snicket’s unfortunate saga.
