Black Mirror season four is now on Netflix, and to celebrate, the streamer has shared a deranged launch trailer that wishes us all a happy new year in the most dismaying way possible.
The video blends scenes from previous seasons of the bleak sci-fi anthology with real-life footage, suggesting (with all the series’ trademark subtlety) how discomfittingly similar the two worlds have become this year. So in case, somehow, you were feeling optimistic about the impending onset of 2018, allow Black Mirror to remind you that the future is terrifying.
