Brave New World Series Adds Kylie Bunbury, Joseph Morgan, More to Cast

The forthcoming Brave New World series has rounded out its main cast with five new additions—Kylie Bunbury, Joseph Morgan, Hannah John-Kamen, Sen Mitsuji and Nina Sosanya, per Deadline. The set of five will join previously announced actors Alden Ehrenreich, Jessica Brown Findlay and Harry Lloyd.

Based on the classic Aldous Huxley novel of the same name, Brave New World illustrates the World State, a utopian (read: dystopian) society that’s built an unnerving sense of peace and stability by wiping out monogamy, religion, privacy and curiosity, and sorting each person into a caste—Alpha, Beta, Gammas, Deltas and Epsilons.

Fresh off the set of the critically acclaimed Netflix miniseries When They See Us and known for her role in Fox baseball drama Pitch, Bunbury will play Frannie, a Beta who embraces her conditioning and role in the World State.

John-Kamen, who’s currently starring in Killjoys and set to appear in Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, will play the role of the hedonistic artist Wilhelmina Watson. John-Kamen made her feature film debut in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and continued on to star in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

A series regular on Origin, Mitsuji appears as the ideal Alpha Plus, Henry Foster, who is a counselor at the Bureau of Stability.

Morgan, best known for his work on The Vampire Diaries, will play CJack60, an Epsilon relegated to menial, monotonous jobs.

Sosanya will play the World Controller himself, Mustafa Mond, responsible for maintaining the society’s social structure and order. Her film credits include Love Actually and David Brent: Life on the Road, while her TV roles include Good Omens and Killing Eve.

Lloyd is set to play the insecure, unorthodox and resultantly discontent misfit Bernard Marx, while the beautiful vaccination worker Lenina Crowne will be played by Findlay, and John the Savage, an outsider and the only character to grow up outside the World State, will be portrayed by Ehrenreich.

Originally under development at Syfy, Brave New World will be produced by Universal Content Productions and Amblin Television. The scripts will be penned and executive produced by David Wiener, Grant Morrison and Brain Taylor, while Wiener will also serve as showrunner.
