Westworld, Stranger Things Big Winners at 2017 Creative Arts Emmys

Don’t forget about the little guy in the television industry. Although television viewers may focus their attention on the best prestige dramas and big name leading actors and actresses, the Creative Arts Emmys focuses on the craftspeople behind the scenes—the visual effects, sound and production artists, the animators, cinematographers, guest performers and more. The 2017 ceremony was held over both Saturday and Sunday night to honor the best of these artists.

Most notably, popular dramas Stranger Things and Westworld bagged five wins each. As the two shows are popular favorites to win gold in the Primetime Emmy Awards, these initial wins should give them much needed momentum for the award ceremony airing on CBS on Sept. 17. The 2017 Creative Emmy Awards will air on FXX as a special on Sept. 16.

Check out the extensive list of winners for Saturday night and Sunday night of the ceremony.
